Euro 2012 Competition Announced for FIFA 12

With the next major international football competition set to be the UEFA European Championships 2012, gamers have been hoping that there would be a new announcement surrounding a football game that will be released in time for the competition so that they can play out their own version of the tournament on their console and it seems that their prays have been answered.

With previous experience showing that new release games have been produced specifically for tournaments such as the World Cup and the European Championships, thoughts were that game creators EA would release a spin off title that would offer limited gaming options that only relate to the tournament that year but the announcement that has been reported has shown to have shocked them.

Rather than release a free standing title it looks like EA will be looking to reward those of us that have purchased FIFA 12, their latest football games title, by adding a new feature into their game that will incorporate the tournament into the existing game and will see all 53 UEFA international sides, all 8 official stadiums that will be used in the competition and a re-make of the official trophy being added into the game.

The news will be pleasing to all those that have purchased the FIFA 12 gaming title while those gamers that have maintained that they are a Pro Evolution Soccer gamer will have been hoping that they can take on a smaller aspect of the FIFA 12 gameplay with a free standing version of the game but now their hands will be forced to purchase the full FIFA 12 title if they want to participate in the UEFA Euro 2012 action on their console.

The game will be able to be played both locally on your console as well as online, meaning that if you are not a FIFA 12 owner already and you want to play the game online against others, you will be forced to buy a new copy of the game as EA operate a keycode system for their online passage.
